What to expect at our events

Our Pairs and Team events are generally held in Mission Viejo, CA and are perfect for first-time competitors and seasoned speed puzzlers alike!

After our volunteers set up the competition space, we welcome the competitors to settle in at their competition table, participate in a puzzle swap with complete puzzles they are ready to pass on to the next person, and peruse the sponsored puzzles in an opportunity drawing.

The event hosts will welcome the participants, provide a reminder of the top need-to-remember rules, and will then count down to the start of the competition. The competition window is generally two hours in length with the most experienced puzzlers finishing as fast as 40 minutes for a pair and as fast as 20 minutes for a team. Don’t be intimidated by those pro-level times as some teams may not finish within the two-hour time limit. For your first competition, focus on the fun community and competition environment and establish your individual competition strategies.

Awards are provided for the winning teams for all competitions, and events that are sponsored additionally feature prize puzzles.
